Garhshankar- To prepare for the state-level victory rally to be held in Samrala on August 24, Kirti Kisan Union held farmer meetings in villages Chahal Pur and Mola Wahidpur of Garhshankar block, in which all farmers were invited to join the rally.
Addressing the farmers, the organization's state vice president Harmesh Singh Dhesi and district secretary Kulwinder Singh Chahal said that the central and Punjab governments are continuously implementing anti-farmer policies. They are deliberately creating a shortage of DAP and Zuria fertilizers in Punjab and other waste products are being forcibly given to farmers along with fertilizers. No attention is being paid to the flood victims.
On the other hand, the Central Government is going to make cotton imported from America tax-free, which will cause huge losses to the farmers of the cotton belt. He called on all those farmers to unite against the anti-people policies of the government.
