
Independence Day was celebrated at Khalsa College Dumeli.
Hoshiarpur- Independence Day was celebrated at Sant Baba Dalip Singh Memorial Khalsa College Dumeli, an educational institution run by the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee. On this occasion, the college principal Dr. Gurnam Singh Rasoolpur Ji, while explaining the importance of Independence Day, said that the freedom we are enjoying today is due to the maximum sacrifices of Punjabis and Sikhs.

He said that 10 lakh Punjabis had to lose their lives in the struggle for independence.
Due to independence, our India was divided into two parts. A lot of Punjab's history remained in Pakistan, the lack of which can never be filled. All the staff members and students paid tribute to those 10 lakh martyred Punjabis.
On this occasion, all the teachers of the college informed the students about the important contribution of the Sikhs in the freedom struggle. All the staff and students of the college were present on this occasion.
