Deputy Commissioner Ankurjit Singh inaugurated the AYUSH camp organized in Nawanshahr.

The Deputy Commissioner said that as per the orders of the AYUSH Department, Government of India, Health Department Punjab, Director Ayurveda Punjab and Director Homeopathy Punjab, 15 free AYUSH camps will be organized in every district of the state. Under which camps are also being organized in Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar. He said that these camps will be held from 9 am to 4 pm and people should take full advantage of it.
He said that on this occasion, a total of 573 patients were examined by expert Ayurvedic and Homeopathic doctors and free medicines were given to them. Among these, 315 people took advantage of Ayurvedic services and 258 people took advantage of Homeopathic services during the camp. The expert doctors present in the camp also made the patients aware about the prevention of diseases occurring during the rainy season.
On this occasion, medicines for stomach diseases, pains, blood pressure, diabetes, women's diseases and skin diseases were distributed free of cost. On this occasion, District Ayurvedic and Unani Officer Dr. Sarabjit Kaur said that on the instructions of Director Ayurvedic and Unani Dr. Ravi Dumra and Director Homeopathic Dr. Harinder Pal, this first free AYUSH camp was organized as per the instructions issued by the Health Department of the AYUSH Department, Government of India, Punjab, where people took advantage of health facilities.
He said that these camps will be organized on August 1 at the Community Hall in village Lodhipur, on August 4 at Gurdwara Shri Singh Sabha in village Sikohpur, on August 6 at Dera Baba Sarbdayal Ji in village Kamam and on August 7 at Dana Mandi Rahon where patients will be examined by Ayurvedic and homeopathic doctors and free Ayurvedic and homeopathic medicines will be given to them.
