The Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board told X, “Jai Mata Di! Vaishno Devi Yatra will resume from September 14 (Sunday). For details and bookings, please visit www.maavaishnodevi.org. The temporary suspension was necessary due to inclement weather and urgent maintenance of the route leading to the shrine. The yatra will resume as per the scheduled time, subject to weather conditions.”
A spokesperson for the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board advised devotees to carry valid identity cards, follow the designated routes and cooperate with the ground staff. RFID-based tracking will be mandatory for transparency and traceability. For live updates, booking services and helpline support, pilgrims can visit the Shrine Board's official website: www.maavaishnodevi.org. Thank you to the pilgrims for their patience and understanding.
It is worth mentioning that the cloudburst caused a landslide at Adhkuwari in the Trikuta hills of Katra belt, following which the yatra was suspended from the same day.
