Sadhvi Ji said that this saying 'Jaisa Anna Vaisa Mana' shows a very important truth of our life. Its direct meaning is that the kind of food we eat, the same becomes our mind and thoughts. This is not only a matter of physical health, but also related to mental health.
Nutritious and sattvic food is very important for our body and mind to remain healthy. When we eat fresh, nutritious and digestible food, our body feels energetic and the mind becomes calm, positive and focused. Such a diet not only gives physical strength, but it also brings simplicity and creativity in our thoughts.
On the contrary, if we consume unhealthy, useless, overly spicy or tamasic food such as fast food, overly oily and spicy food, then it has a negative effect on our mind as well. Such food creates laziness, heaviness and lethargy in the body. Studies have also proven that unhealthy diet is associated with mental problems like depression and anxiety.
Finally, "Jeesa Ann Vaisa Mana" teaches us that to live a healthy and happy life, we should consider our food not only as a means of filling the stomach, but also as the basis of nourishment for our body and mind. By adopting a nutritious and sattvic diet, we can not only stay physically healthy, but also achieve a calm, positive and prosperous mind.
