New Delhi, June 10 - Aam Aadmi Party student body 'ASP' protested against Chief Minister Rekha Gupta over the rape and murder of a 9-year-old girl in Delhi's Nehru Vihar. Chief Minister Rekha Gupta was supposed to visit Shyam Lal College here, but before she arrived, students associated with 'ASP' raised slogans outside the college. 'ASP' demanded from the Chief Minister that the victim's family be given financial assistance and the culprits be arrested soon and given strict punishment so that the victim's family can get justice.
During the protest, 'ASP' reminded Rekha Gupta of her responsibility as a woman Chief Minister. 'ASP' said that the Chief Minister of Delhi is a woman and she is also a mother. She should be concerned about the safety of a daughter, but it does not seem so. She said that despite being a woman Chief Minister, women and girls cannot breathe in a safe environment.
'ASP' said that now there is a four-engine government of BJP in Delhi. Apart from the BJP government at the Centre, State and MCD, the LG is also of BJP. Police-administration is all in the hands of BJP. Even after this, the morale of the criminals is so high. The organization demanded that justice be given to the victim's family of this incident and the culprit be given severe punishment.
