Last Ardas and Tribute Ceremony for Jaswinder Bhalla; Political, Social, Academic, Cultural and Film personalities pay tribute to Jaswinder Bhalla;

Chandigarh, September 1:- Bhog and last Ardas ceremony for the recently deceased famous comedian and film actor Jaswinder Bhalla was held at Gurdwara Sahib Guru Teg Bahadur Sahib, Sector 34, Chandigarh. On the occasion, eminent personalities from various fields including politics, social work, education, culture and film world paid tribute to Jaswinder Bhalla. Kirtan was performed with devotion by the Jatha of Joginder Singh Riyad.

On the occasion, eminent personalities from various fields including politics, social work, education, culture and film world paid tribute to Jaswinder Bhalla. Kirtan was performed with devotion by the Jatha of Joginder Singh Riyad.
While conducting the tribute ceremony, Bal Mukund Sharma highlighted the moments spent with Jaswinder Bhalla in the last four decades and his artistic life and remembered his late colleague. He read out the condolence message sent by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. On behalf of the Punjab Government, MLA Kulwant Singh read out and shared the condolence message of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann.
He said that the demise of Jaswinder Bhalla is a great loss not only to Punjabi films, art, literature and culture but also to the field of agricultural science. Renowned poet and litterateur Prof. Gurbhajan Singh Gill, while paying tribute, mentioned his personal friendship of 49 years with him. Film actor and comedian Gurpreet Ghuggi paid tribute to his senior colleague.
On the occasion, Vice Chancellor of Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), Ludhiana, Dr Satbir Singh Gosal and Director of Business School of PAU, Dr Ramandeep Singh shared memories of Bhalla's university life. Manmohan Grewal, a close associate of Jaswinder Bhalla, read out the condolence message sent by the Governor of Salt Lake City. Former minister Balbir Singh Sidhu read out the condolence message of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi.
On behalf of the family, Jaswinder Bhalla's son Pukhraj Bhalla thanked the entire gathering and said that the family will always be indebted to the love and respect shown by the people in recent times. Jaswinder Bhalla's daughter Ashpreet Bhalla got emotional and said that she considers herself lucky to be his daughter.
Family members included his mother Satwant Kaur, wife Paramdeep Kaur, son-in-law Vikram Singh, sister Kuljit Kaur, brother-in-law Rajpal Singh and daughter-in-law Dishadeep Sandhu. Prominent attendees from the film fraternity included former Lok Sabha member and singer Mohammad Sadiq, Babu Singh Maan, folk singer Harjit Harman, Ravinder Grewal, Jelly, producer Sherry Pawla from Narang Entertainment, Gurjit Singh Billa, singer Jannat Kaur, Maninder Deol, former Sarpanch of Todar Mazra village Sarabjit Singh, Guggu Gill, Pammi Bai, Gippy Grewal, Neelu Sharma, Binnu Dhillon, B N Sharma, Shamsher Sandhu, Hardeep Gill, Dr Nirmal Jaura, Gurpreet Bhanghu, Seema Kaushal, Harbi Sandha, Sardar Sohi, Deepak Raja, Prakash Gadhu, Darshan Aulakh, Surinder Farishta and Santa-Banta.
