Hoshiarpur- As per the orders of Shri Kumar Rahul, IAS, Principal Secretary, Health and Family Welfare Department, Dr. Seema Garg District Vaccination Officer has taken charge as Acting Civil Surgeon Hoshiarpur today from 1st September 2025. It is worth mentioning that Civil Surgeon Hoshiarpur, Dr. Pawan Kumar Shagotra retired from government service on 31st August 2025.
Dr. Seema Garg has successfully promoted vaccination campaigns during her service and has played a key role in creating public awareness about health. Especially in Polio, Measles-Rubella and Covid-19 vaccination campaigns, Hoshiarpur district has been among the front-runner districts of the state under her leadership.
On the occasion of taking charge, Dr. Seema Garg said that she is grateful to the Health and Family Welfare Department for entrusting her with this important responsibility. Her efforts will continue to ensure that high-quality health facilities are easily available to every citizen of Hoshiarpur district. She said that health services can be further strengthened only through teamwork and public support.
Dr. Garg said that by combining the efforts of the officers and employees, all efforts will be made to make the health system more effective so that the people can get everything from emergencies like floods to daily treatment in the best possible way at this time. Dr. Garg appealed to the public to extend maximum cooperation in the campaigns of the Health Department so that Hoshiarpur district can become an example in health services at the state level.
