Mutual Cooperation is the Core Essence of Punjabiyat: Bhupinder Mallhi Punjabi Writers’ Association, Chandigarh, Organized a Dialogue on Challenges to Punjabi Literature

Chandigarh: The Punjabi Writers’ Association, in collaboration with the Punjab Kala Parishad, organized a special event today at Punjab Kala Bhawan, where Bhupinder Mallhi, the founder of “Jeeve Punjab Adbi Sangat Foundation, B.C., Canada,” participated prominently and engaged in a dialogue.

Chandigarh: The Punjabi Writers’ Association, in collaboration with the Punjab Kala Parishad, organized a special event today at Punjab Kala Bhawan, where Bhupinder Mallhi, the founder of “Jeeve Punjab Adbi Sangat Foundation, B.C., Canada,” participated prominently and engaged in a dialogue.
While conducting the proceedings, the General Secretary of the Writers’ Association, Bhupinder Singh Malik, stated that quality literature and serious intellectual discussions are the need of the hour. In his welcome address, Senior Vice-President Paul Ajnabi remarked that literary organizations play a significant role in this regard.
Dr. Nirdosh Kaur Gill, while introducing Bhupinder Mallhi, described him as a dedicated personality. In his address, Bhupinder Mallhi said that mutual cooperation is our inherent nature, and we must draw understanding from society itself. He emphasized that the Punjabi language is the voice of the Punjabi community. To adopt the Punjabi philosophy, it is essential to keep questioning, as only then will we find answers.
The President of the Association, Deepak Sharma Chanarthal, stated that such meaningful discussions serve as a source of inspiration for us.
Speaking as the chief guest, renowned thinker Dr. Piyara Lal Garg said that the fundamental mantra of knowledge is to never stop learning. In his presidential address, eminent litterateur Jang Bahadur Goel remarked that personalities like Bhupinder Mallhi have taken up a mission full of hope.
Responding to questions from the audience, which included Sardara Singh Cheema, Amarjit Arpan, Balkar Sidhu, Ajmer Sidhu, Sanjeevan Singh, Meet Rangrez, Paul Ajnabi, Jarnail Singh, and others, Bhupinder Mallhi stated that serving literature can only be done with a missionary spirit. He added that artificial intelligence is not more powerful than human essence, and proud, resilient, and self-respecting Punjabis live in a state of ever-ascending spirit (Chardi Kala).
Surinder Bansal presented his popular translated book “Ajj Vi Khare Han Talab” to Bhupinder Mallhi and Dr. Piyara Lal Garg. At the conclusion of the event, Surjit Singh Dheer recited a composition by Baba Najmi. In his vote of thanks, the Association’s Finance Secretary, Harminder Kalra, said that this meaningful discussion-based event was memorable.
Jang Bahadur Goel, Harjit Singh, and Prabhjot Kaur Dhillon were honored for their contributions. A large number of literary figures, intellectuals, dramatists, journalists, and others thoroughly enjoyed the event.
