Una, October 12:- To raise public awareness about the Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana and facilitate the registration of eligible consumers, the Himachal Pradesh State Electricity Board Limited will organise a three-day special ‘Seva Setu’ awareness and registration camp at Rakkar in Una town from October 13 to 15. The camp will be held daily from 10 am to 5 pm at the Electricity Board’s Electrical Operation Circle office in Rakkar, opposite Kalagidhar Furniture.
During the three-day camp organised by the Electricity Board, consumers will be provided information about the benefits of installing rooftop solar plants on their homes, the scheme’s registration process, eligibility conditions and the provisions for financial assistance prescribed by the government.
During the camp, consumers will also receive guidance on the process of installing solar energy systems, getting them installed through authorised vendors and completing the formalities required under the scheme. Special attention will also be given to addressing consumers’ queries and encouraging eligible beneficiaries to register.
The Electricity Board has appealed to the public to attend the camp, obtain detailed information about the scheme and avail themselves of its benefits in accordance with the prescribed rules and eligibility conditions. By adopting rooftop solar plants, consumers can save on electricity bills while also contributing to the promotion of clean and renewable energy.
