Hoshiarpur (Daljit Ajnoha):- As per the directions of Senior Superintendent of Police Sandeep Kumar Malik, a seminar was organised at Government High Smart School, Madiala, to make students aware of traffic rules and social evils. On this occasion, ASI Manohar Chand, Punjab Road Safety Committee member Vijay Arora, Sarpanch Sukhwant Singh, Headmistress Bandana Saini and the school staff were present.

During the seminar, students were informed about following traffic rules, not driving geared vehicles below the age of 18, helping injured persons in road accidents and the Farishte Scheme. They were also made aware of ways to protect themselves from cyber fraud, stay away from drugs and inform the police about drug trafficking. The girl students were also informed about good touch and bad touch.

Vijay Arora said that it is extremely important to make children understand the importance of traffic rules from an early age. Every student should follow the rules themselves and also motivate their family members and friends to do the same.

Sarpanch Sukhwant Singh said that such awareness seminars play an important role in making students responsible and good citizens. Appreciating the initiative, he appealed to the students to stay away from drugs and bad company.
