Hoshiarpur (Daljit Ajnoha):- Rayat Bahra Professional University organised a special lecture on modern medical technologies for nursing students at the institution’s moot court. Students of B.Sc. Nursing second and fourth semesters participated in the session.

The keynote speaker was Dr Mayank Kapoor, specialist physician at Livasa Hospital, Hoshiarpur (MD – Internal Medicine, DM – Medical Oncology, AIIMS; University Topper). Dr Kapoor explained to the students in simple language how modern medical technologies, such as stem cell therapy and gene therapy, are proving helpful in the treatment of serious diseases. He said that these new developments in medical science are improving patient care and that it is extremely important for future nursing staff to be familiar with these modern approaches.

On the occasion, University Vice Chancellor Dr Chandra Mohan expressed his views and said that the institution always remains committed to familiarising students not only with textbook knowledge but also with modern developments in the medical field. He said that understanding new medical technologies would make nursing students more skilled, enabling them to provide world-class healthcare services to patients in the future.

After the lecture, the students asked Dr Kapoor questions and gained information related to the subject. At the end of the programme, the institution thanked Dr Mayank Kapoor for sharing his valuable time and knowledge.
