Majri (Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar), September 29, 2026:- As part of a special initiative of the Punjab Government dedicated to the 650th Prakash Purab of Sri Guru Ravidas Ji Maharaj, a 30-minute special documentary film was screened through an LED screen in the villages of Badi Parchh, Chhoti Parchh and Siunk of Kharar Block.
Giving more information, Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Kharar, Shri Gurmeet Singh said that the Punjab Government has prepared this special documentary dedicated to the 650th Prakash Purab of Sri Guru Ravidas Ji Maharaj, with the objective of making people aware of the life and teachings of Guru Ji and the message given by him to society.
He said that through this documentary film, the Sangat is being informed about the great philosophy of Sri Guru Ravidas Ji Maharaj and his teachings on social equality, mutual brotherhood, human unity and the welfare of entire humanity.
He said that Sri Guru Ravidas Ji Maharaj, through his Bani and life, gave the message to society to rise above casteism, discrimination and social hierarchy and treat everyone equally. His teachings remain a source of inspiration for society even today and hold great significance in creating a healthy and egalitarian society.
The SDM said that this initiative of the Punjab Government will help connect the new generation with the life and philosophy of Guru Sahib. He appealed to the Sangat to adopt the teachings of Guru Sahib in their lives and contribute towards strengthening mutual love, harmony and brotherhood in society.
