Sangrur, September 23:- District Election Officer-cum-Deputy Commissioner, Sangrur, Poonamdeep Kaur said that the Election Department and all Booth Level Officers are carrying out the work of SIR (Special Intensive Revision) in an efficient manner. She said that all the voters of District Sangrur also made a valuable contribution to the Special Intensive Revision by submitting their documents to the concerned BLOs within the stipulated time.
She said that the claims and objections received after the publication of the draft electoral roll on August 13, 2026, will be disposed of by the concerned Electoral Registration Officers by October 8, 2026. For this, all EROs have been directed to complete the Notice & Hearing Phase work within the stipulated time as per the instructions of the Commission. Directions have also been issued to clear the pendency constituency-wise under this phase of the SIR.
She said that the final electoral roll will be published on October 12, 2026. She said that the district administration is completing the necessary arrangements to ensure that the SIR (Special Intensive Revision) process is carried out in a smooth, transparent and impartial manner.
