Hansi, October 5 (Dinkar Gawri):- The two-day ‘Seva Setu Camp’, organised at the Municipal Council office under the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan, is functioning as an effective one-stop centre for citizens.
Organised under the guidance of DMC and Additional Deputy Commissioner Lakshit Sareen, the camp has officials and employees from various departments available at one location to provide citizens with information about the welfare schemes of the Central and State Governments, facilitate applications for eligible citizens on the spot and ensure the prompt resolution of their problems.
Dr. Neha Dhawan, National Adviser to the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship and BJP State Spokesperson, inspected the camp and reviewed the stalls set up by various departments. She sought information from officials about the services being provided to citizens as well as the complaints received and their resolution. She also interacted with citizens visiting the camp and enquired about the process for availing themselves of various schemes and services.
Services of Various Departments Available in One Premises
Citizens visiting the Seva Setu Camp do not need to visit different government offices. Services and guidance related to various schemes, including Parivar Pehchan Patra, ration cards, social security pensions, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, self-employment and street vendors’ loans, agriculture and allied services, AYUSH and solar energy, are being provided at one location.
Problems related to corrections in Parivar Pehchan Patra, new applications and ration cards are being resolved on the spot. Necessary procedures are also being completed for matters related to social security pensions. Similarly, information about loan facilities for Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana and street vendors, along with assistance in the application process, is being provided.
Citizens’ Problems Being Heard Personally
A special feature of the camp is that every citizen’s problem is being heard personally. Depending on the nature of the problem, the concerned official is taking the necessary action on the spot. Tasks that can be resolved within a few minutes are being completed immediately, enabling citizens to return after their work is completed without unnecessary waiting.
Citizens Benefiting from AYUSH Health Camp
The AYUSH Department is providing health check-ups, medical consultation and necessary medicines at the camp. A large number of citizens are availing themselves of AYUSH health services. Along with health-related information, people are also being made aware of healthy lifestyles and the AYUSH system of medicine.
Information on Solar Energy and Self-Employment Schemes Being Provided
Officials of the Solar Energy Department are providing citizens interested in installing solar panels at homes and commercial establishments with information about available schemes, procedures and facilities. Information about dairy, fisheries and other self-employment-related schemes is also being provided to eligible citizens.
Benefits of Schemes Reaching the Last Person in the Spirit of Antyodaya
Dr. Neha Dhawan said such service camps help in making the government’s welfare schemes and services accessible to ordinary citizens in a simple and convenient manner. The availability of officials from various departments at one place saves citizens’ time and ensures prompt resolution of their problems.
She said the objective of the ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’ is to ensure that the benefits of government schemes reach the last person in society through public service and public participation. She appealed to citizens to visit such camps and avail themselves of the available services and schemes to the maximum extent. EO Rajendra Soni and officials of the concerned departments were also present.
