Hansi, October 3 (Dinkar Gawri):- Under the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan, a Seva Setu camp was organised by various departments in Koth Kalan village. SDM Narnaund Vikas Yadav inspected the stalls set up by various departments at the camp and sought information from officials and employees about the implementation of schemes and services being provided to the public. A total of 251 people obtained information about various departmental schemes and services at the camp. On the occasion, Mandal President Devender Boora, BDPO Ashok Mehra, Sarpanch Mahasingh, along with officials and employees of various departments, public representatives and prominent citizens, were present.

SDM Vikas Yadav said that Seva Setu camps are playing an important role in ensuring that the benefits of government welfare schemes and services reach poor, needy and eligible families. Through these camps, citizens are getting an opportunity to obtain information about and access the schemes, facilities and services of various departments at a single location instead of having to visit different offices.

He said that the Seva Setu camps being organised under the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan are an effective medium for establishing direct communication between the government and the general public. At the camps, eligible citizens are being provided detailed information about scheme eligibility, the application process, required documents and available facilities. Applications of eligible persons are also being facilitated so that they do not have to face unnecessary difficulties in obtaining the benefits of government schemes.

Directions Issued to Officials

SDM Vikas Yadav thoroughly inspected the stalls set up by various departments at the camp. He directed officials and employees to listen seriously to the problems of every citizen visiting the camp and provide complete information about the relevant scheme or service. He said that no eligible person should be deprived of the benefits of a government scheme due to lack of information.

He told officials that along with ensuring that people receive the benefits of schemes, the application process should also be explained to them in a simple and transparent manner. He further directed that if there is any deficiency in a person’s documents or application, clear information about the necessary correction should be provided so that the person can apply again with the correct documents.

Mandal President Devender Boora said that the Central and State Governments are continuously working with the spirit of Antyodaya to connect people at the last rung of society with the mainstream of development. The Seva Sankalp Abhiyan is not merely a programme but a commitment to directly take government schemes and facilities to needy families. He appealed to villagers to attend such camps, obtain information about schemes available to them and avail themselves of the benefits according to their eligibility.

At the Seva Setu camp, stalls, help desks and counselling tables were set up by around 19 departments directly connected with the public. Through these stalls, villagers were provided information about various government schemes, services and public welfare programmes. Officials and employees provided eligible citizens with information about the application process, required documents and other important details related to the schemes.

On the occasion, Mandal President Devender Boora also interacted with villagers and said that the government is implementing numerous schemes and services for the welfare of the general public. Through Seva Setu camps, information about these schemes is reaching people directly. He appealed to villagers to visit the camp, obtain information from officials of the concerned departments and avail themselves of the benefits of schemes according to their eligibility.

During the camp, officials and employees of various departments listened to citizens’ problems and provided them with necessary information about the relevant services and schemes. Villagers appreciated the administration’s initiative for making services and information from multiple departments available at a single location.
