Hoshiarpur, 26 September:- Sant Baba Nirmal Dass Babejore, President, Guru Ravidas Sadhu Sampraday Society Regd. Punjab, Sant Ramesh Dass Kalar Sherpur Dhakko, Joint Secretary, and Dr. Avtar Singh Karim Puri, President, Bahujan Samaj Party Punjab, specially visited village Barian, where they strongly condemned the desecration of the statue of Baba Sahib Dr. B.R. Ambedkar and demanded the arrest and strict punishment of those responsible for the desecration so that such unfortunate incidents do not recur.
On this occasion, Dr. Karim Puri strongly criticised the government and administration and demanded that the accused be arrested immediately, that the district administration install a new statue at Barian Kalan immediately at its own expense, and that the Punjab and Central governments jointly arrange CCTV cameras and lighting for the protection of statues of Bahujan leaders. He announced that in 2027, a BSP government based on the ideology of Dr. Ambedkar would be formed and this insult would be avenged. He said that after forming the government, the BSP would protect the statues of Dr. Ambedkar.
On this occasion, a BSP unit and a women’s BSP unit were also formed in the village, and the people were urged to remain steadfast for the success of the movement. They were also invited to participate in large numbers in the BSP government formation rally at Adampur on October 9, on the occasion of Sahib Shri Ram Ji’s pre-Nirvana Day.
On this occasion, Contractor Bhagwan Dass Sidhu, in-charge Lok Sabha, Advocate Palwinder Mana, Bibi Sarpanch Sahiba Barian, Amandeep Sidhu Barian, Vicky, Rohit, Rakesh Kitty, Pardeep Mall, Parminder Bodh, Surinder Dhanda, Garhshankar Assembly in-charge Bakshish Bheem, Harvinder Singh Bahowal, Amandeep Sidhu, Kuldeep Singh from BBF, besides other BSP supporters and leadership, were present.
