Ambala, October 9 (R. Singh):- The Bharat Vikas Parishad, Maharishi Dayanand Branch, Ambala City, organised a branch-level national group singing competition based on the singing of Hindi and Sanskrit songs from the book “Chetna Ke Swar” at Shri Radhe Lal Geeta Vidya Mandir, located in the city’s Ghas Mandi area. The event was held under the leadership of patron Pradeep Goel, co-patrons Deepak Rai Anand and Vivek Gupta, and president Chaman Aggarwal. A total of six teams participated in the competition. Guru Neerja Chaurasia, Dr. Manjit Kaur and Puneet Kaur served as judges and were welcomed with traditional ceremonial shawls.
Before the competition, participants were briefed on the rules. The S.A. Jain Vijay Vallabh School team secured first place, S.A. Jain Senior Secondary School finished second, and Maharaja Agrasen Public School secured third place. Media in-charge Rakesh Makkar said that the team winning first place would represent the branch in the state-level competition.
He added that branch secretary Ankur Goel, finance secretary Amit Chanana, cultural coordinator Manoj Garg, former presidents Ajay Aggarwal and Rakesh Jindal, women’s wing head Manju Aggarwal, project head Priyanka Aggarwal and others were present for the project. The branch thanked the school principal, Anil Sharma, and the management committee for facilitating the competition.
