Haroli/Una, 7 October (Rajveer Chopra):- With the objective of promoting environmental conservation and increasing greenery, the NCC Unit of Professor Simi Agnihotri Government College Haroli organised a special tree plantation drive. The programme was organised under the ‘Green India Clean India’ initiative, in which 40 NCC cadets of the college participated enthusiastically.
The programme was led by College Principal Dr. Rajendra Kumar and NCC Officer Ashish Kumar. During the programme, the cadets planted saplings of various species on the college campus.
Principal Dr. Rajendra Kumar appreciated the initiative and said that tree plantation not only helps keep the environment clean but also ensures a healthy environment for future generations. Addressing the cadets, NCC Officer Ashish Kumar said that the active contribution of the younger generation towards environmental conservation is extremely important for the country’s green future.
He also entrusted the cadets with the responsibility of regularly caring for the saplings they had planted and helping them grow. The programme concluded with all the participants taking a pledge to protect the environment.
