Ambala, October 3:- Last night, some youths attacked Nangal police station SHO Suresh Kumar with a knife. He was brought to Civil Hospital, Ambala City, in serious condition, where he was given stitches on his head, neck, arm, hand and other injured areas before being referred to Sector-32 Hospital in Chandigarh. Police have intensified the search operation to apprehend the attackers.

According to reports, Inspector Suresh Kumar was patrolling the area in his private car at around 9:30 p.m. on Friday night. He saw some youths fighting with another young man. Seeing the situation, the SHO stopped his vehicle and intervened, rescuing the young man from the attackers, but four to five attackers assaulted the SHO. One of the accused took out a knife and attacked the SHO on his head, neck and hand. The sudden attack created panic at the spot. Despite this, SHO Suresh Kumar faced the situation and confronted the attackers. As soon as information about the incident was received, the police team became active. The injured SHO was brought to Civil Hospital, Ambala City, for treatment, where doctors treated him.

As soon as information about the incident was received, several police officials, including the DSP, reached the hospital and inquired about the SHO’s condition. Former minister from the city, Aseem Goel, also reached the hospital and inquired about the well-being of the injured Suresh Kumar.

Police have intensified efforts to identify and arrest the attackers. Searches are being conducted in the surrounding areas. Police officials said that action would be taken against the accused according to law. Information is also being collected from people present near the scene to identify the youths involved in the attack. Police are also investigating the motive behind the attack. Taking the incident that occurred during patrolling seriously, police officials have intensified efforts to arrest the accused as soon as possible.
