Beijing (China):- On Monday, China broke its silence on the border dispute concerning Arunachal Pradesh. It urged India to implement the agreements reached regarding the border and maintain peace.
Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun said that China had consistently and strictly adhered to the agreements and important understandings reached between the two countries. He further stated that China conducts regular patrolling and management activities to safeguard its territorial sovereignty and maintain stability along the border.
He made these remarks in response to reports of another confrontation along the China-India border. A spokesperson for India’s Ministry of External Affairs had earlier stated that such incidents occur when Chinese military personnel deviate from the established patrolling arrangements.
