Chandigarh, October 11:- Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini attended a ceremony organised by the Yuva Aggarwal Sabha as the chief guest on the auspicious occasion of the 5,150th birth anniversary of Maharaja Agrasen Ji at the premises of the ancient Shiv Temple in Patran, Patiala district, Punjab.

On this occasion, he paid his heartfelt tributes to Maharaja Agrasen Ji, a symbol of non-violence, socialism and compassion, and extended his greetings to all countrymen on the birth anniversary and Navratri.

The Chief Minister said that Maharaja Agrasen Ji was not only a great personality of the Aggarwal community but also of the entire Indian society. He introduced a unique and visionary tradition in his kingdom, known as “one brick and one gold coin”, so that every new family could become self-reliant. He also imposed a complete ban on animal sacrifice, establishing non-violence as a social principle in human history.

Mr. Saini said that the history of the Aggarwal community had always been distinguished by its contributions to nation-building, generosity and service to humanity. He particularly remembered Bhamashah, along with freedom fighters, saints, litterateurs and industrialists who had brought recognition to the community in India and around the world.

Reiterating Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s guiding principle of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas and Sabka Prayas”, he said that initiatives such as GST, Digital India and Startup India had taken the business sector to new heights. Expressing concern over the current situation in Punjab, he said that the state’s business community and youth were now looking for a secure environment, a transparent system and positive change.

Presenting an overview of Haryana’s industrial and economic development, Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini said that under the vision of “Developed Haryana 2047”, the state government was working towards the goal of building a $1 trillion economy and creating 5 million new jobs. Haryana currently ranks fourth in the country in terms of startup culture, with more than 12,000 recognised startups, 19 unicorns and over 250 Fortune 500 companies. Under the Ease of Doing Business initiative, the government had taken several historic steps to strengthen industries and the MSME sector, including a plug-and-play policy, the PADMA programme and the elimination of more than 1,100 unnecessary regulations.

He expressed confidence that if Punjab, too, adopted a development-oriented system along the lines of the double-engine government, industrialists in the state would also receive better facilities. In conclusion, he urged everyone to resolve to build a prosperous and secure Punjab by following the path shown by Maharaja Agrasen Ji.
