Pathankot: Livasa Hospital Amritsar, in collaboration with SKR Hospital & Trauma Centre, Pathankot, on Wednesday announced the launch of a dedicated Cardiology OPD in Pathankot. Led by Senior Consultant–Interventional Cardiology Dr Anil Sharma, the OPD will operate every Wednesday from 12 noon to 2 pm at SKR Hospital & Trauma Centre.
Dr Rajiv Kundra, Facility Director, Livasa Hospital Amritsar, said, “The initiative aims to improve access to specialised cardiac care and provide patients with timely expert evaluation and advice for cardiac symptoms, heart disease risk factors and pre-existing cardiac conditions, so that they do not have to travel to another city for an initial specialist consultation.”
The OPD will also evaluate and guide patients who may require further assessment for coronary artery blockages, heart valve-related diseases, heart rhythm disorders, peripheral artery disease and other cardiovascular conditions.
