Nangal/Una, October 11 (Rajveer Chopra):- As part of its ongoing service activities aimed at helping needy people and patients, the Bhakhra Nangal branch of the India Development Council (Bharat Vikas Parishad) took a commendable initiative by gifting a wheelchair to Shweta, a woman with a disability residing in village Kaithera.
Shweta’s physical condition is such that she is not only unable to walk or move around but is also unable to stand on her feet. With the objective of meeting her daily needs and making her life somewhat easier, the Bhakhra Nangal branch of the India Development Council provided her with a wheelchair at the temple located in the colony of Primo Chemicals Limited, Naya Nangal, so that she could move around more conveniently and carry out her everyday activities with greater ease.
On this occasion, Advocate Ashok Manocha, Founder Director of the Bharat Vikas Parishad Bhakhra Nangal Trust, and Jagmohan Singh Walia, Branch President, said that the India Development Council is a social and service-oriented organisation that fulfils its responsibilities towards society by helping needy people and undertaking public welfare activities. They said that the branch would continue to remain committed to assisting needy people, persons with disabilities and patients to the best of its ability.
On this occasion, Shweta’s parents were present along with Advocate Ashok Manocha, Founder Director; Jagmohan Singh Walia, President; Engineer Rajan Soni, Secretary; Raji Chhabra, former Treasurer; and Madam Bindu Dogra, representing the Bhakhra Nangal branch of the India Development Council. Madam Shashi Vashisht, Reena, Saroj and Pandit Deepak Ji were also present on behalf of the temple committee’s women’s devotional singing group.
