Patiala, 25 September:- With the support of Sudhar Sabha Shri Kedarnath Ji Regd. and devotees, the Ganesh Maha Utsav was celebrated with great enthusiasm and fervour this year as well, as in previous years. Earlier, the Ganesh Utsav used to be celebrated for only 5–7 days, but this year there was considerable enthusiasm among all the members of Sudhar Sabha. The festival was celebrated from Ganesh Chaturthi on 14-09-2026 to Anant Chaturdashi on 25-09-2026. During these days, Vishwakarma Puja, Radha Ashtami, Bavanvasi and other festivals were also celebrated with great enthusiasm. In the evening, after the Aarti, an uninterrupted Bhandara was served by the Hasija family, in which various dishes were prepared.
On 25-09-20226, on the occasion of Anant Chaturdashi, Kirtan was performed by the Shiv Mandali from 11 am to 12 noon. After the Aarti, Bhog was offered at the temple, following which a Langar of Kadhi Chawal and laddoos was served in the temple premises and near the grand idol of Lord Shiva until 3:00 pm.
A large number of devotees and colony residents participated in the Ganesh Visarjan. In particular, Mayor Kundan Gogia, along with MC Ranjit Singh Chandok, Block President Aman Bansal and others, bid farewell to Ganpati Baba on the occasion.
The Mayor appreciated the efforts and said that ever since the Hasija family has been serving the grand idol of Lord Shiva, this temple has become very popular. Satnam Hasija said that since the formation of the Sudhar Sabha organization, all its members have been working day and night for development and are participating enthusiastically in festivals and events.
The temple has paintings, chandeliers and other decorations, while lights outside the temple illuminate the structure and dome. The view is especially worth seeing at night. At the time of the immersion, devotees bid farewell to Ganpati Baba amid chants of “Ganpati Baba Morya, Agle Varsh Tu Jaldi Aa”.
