Chandigarh, October 4:- During his visit to Singapore, Haryana Chief Minister Shri Nayab Singh Saini reviewed the arrangements and facilities associated with the proposed world-class convention centre to be developed over an area of 25 acres in Gurugram. During the visit, he inspected the facilities available at the renowned ‘Suntec City’ in Singapore. The Chief Minister obtained detailed information about the facilities, construction technology, modern engineering and management system of the convention centre being operated there.

During Chief Minister Shri Nayab Singh Saini’s Singapore visit, Haryana Industries and Commerce Minister Rao Narbir Singh, Commissioner and Secretary, Industries and Commerce Department, Dr. Amit Kumar Agrawal, Director, Industries and Commerce Department, Shri Yash Garg, Director, Information, Public Relations, Language and Culture Department, Dr. Aditya Dahiya, and Managing Director, HSIIDC, Shri Vinay Pratap Singh, along with other senior officials, were present.

The Chief Minister said that the Haryana Government would develop a world-class convention centre in Gurugram over an area of approximately 25 acres on the lines of Singapore’s Suntec City. He said that inspecting the facilities available at the convention centre developed at Singapore’s Suntec City was highly important from the perspective of understanding the best international-level arrangements for this project. The proposed convention centre in Gurugram would be equipped with state-of-the-art technology and modern engineering so that large international conferences, business meetings, exhibitions and other global-level events could be organised there.

The Chief Minister said that the construction of a world-class convention centre would further strengthen Gurugram’s international identity and also boost investment and business activities in the state. This would have a positive impact on Haryana’s economy.

Large and Beautiful Park to be Developed in Manesar with State-of-the-Art Infrastructure

The Chief Minister said that along with developing state-of-the-art infrastructure in Manesar, the Haryana Government would also construct a large and beautiful park. This would accelerate the overall development of the area and provide people with better civic amenities, along with greenery and an open environment.

During the visit, Chief Minister Shri Nayab Singh Saini also reviewed arrangements related to environmental conservation, preservation of various plant species and advanced water management technologies at Singapore’s ‘Gardens by the Bay’. He closely observed the environment-friendly arrangements at the garden, particularly measures related to water supply and conservation, and gathered information about them.

Indian and foreign tourists present at ‘Gardens by the Bay’ met the Chief Minister and took photographs with him. Several families also took selfies with the Chief Minister. The Chief Minister also interacted warmly and comfortably with foreign tourists and spoke with them.

The Chief Minister said that the visit to Singapore’s convention centre was highly important from the perspective of understanding international best practices in modern urban planning, convention facilities, environmental conservation and water management. Concrete steps would be taken to apply these experiences in Haryana and make the state more developed, modern and environment-friendly.
