Lehragaga, 7 October:- Receiving documented recognition of ownership of homes where families have lived for several generations is an important moment of confidence and reassurance for families. Punjab Cabinet Minister Mr. Barinder Kumar Goyal today handed over property cards to 367 families at village Bhutal Kalan in the Lehragaga Assembly constituency under the ‘Mera Ghar, Mere Naam’ scheme and said that the Punjab Government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, is committed to strengthening the rights of people associated with their homes.

Mr. Goyal said that under the scheme, a total of 541 property cards have been prepared for village Bhutal Kalan, of which cards were handed over to 367 families today. He said that the remaining 174 property cards, as well as the cards for the remaining villages of the constituency, would also be handed over to beneficiaries soon so that every eligible family can benefit from this initiative.

The Cabinet Minister said that a home is not merely a structure of bricks and walls; it is connected with a family’s hard work, memories and the future of coming generations. He said that providing ownership documents to families who have been living in their homes within the Lal Lakir for a long time further strengthens their confidence in their homes.

Mr. Goyal said, “A home where a family’s elders have spent their lives and where its children are now building their future holds immense importance when its ownership document is received. Today, by handing over property cards to 367 families of Bhutal Kalan, their confidence and dignity associated with their own homes have been further strengthened.”

He said that many families in villages have been living in their homes for generations, but the absence of formal ownership records has continued to cause difficulties for them. The ‘Mera Ghar, Mere Naam’ scheme is an important initiative to provide such eligible families with documented recognition of ownership of their homes. He said that clarity regarding the house and its ownership details gives families greater confidence in maintaining and improving their homes and planning for the future.

The Cabinet Minister said that the real objective of the Punjab Government’s public welfare initiatives is to bring convenience and reassurance into people’s lives. He said that continuous efforts are being made to address the needs and problems of the people of the Lehragaga constituency and priority is being given to ensuring that eligible beneficiaries receive the benefits of government schemes.

Mr. Goyal appealed to beneficiaries to keep their property cards safely and verify the names and property-related details recorded in them. In case of any error in the details, they should contact the concerned officials so that the records can be corrected as per the rules.

He said that the remaining beneficiaries of the constituency would also be handed over property cards soon. Mr. Goyal said, “Our objective is to ensure that every eligible family gets a clear record of ownership of its home and is able to plan the future of its family with greater confidence.”

On the occasion, SDM Lehra Rakesh Prakash, Tehsildar, Naib Tehsildar, Sarpanch of village Bhutal Kalan, members of the Gram Panchayat, and a large number of Aam Aadmi Party leaders and workers were present.
