Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, October 9, 2026:- The Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, is organising a district-level farmers’ training camp to provide farmers with technical information about the Rabi 2026 crops. The camp will begin at 9:00 a.m. on October 13, 2026, at the Kisan Vikas Chamber, Aerocity, Block-C, Airport Chowk, Mohali.

Chief Agriculture Officer Rakesh Sharma said that around 1,200 farmers, including women farmers, from the district would participate in the training programme. Experts from the Agriculture Department will provide information about Rabi crops, new farming techniques, crop management and government schemes.

He said that the camp would be inaugurated by the Deputy Commissioner of SAS Nagar. The programme will be presided over by the Director of the Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Punjab.

On this occasion, Mr Kulwant Singh, MLA from the Mohali constituency, and Mr Kuljit Singh Randhawa, MLA from the Dera Bassi constituency, will also attend as special guests.

The Agriculture Department has appealed to all farmers, both men and women, to participate in the camp in large numbers and benefit from the training programme.
