Deputy Speaker Rouri said public meetings were an important means of understanding people’s needs and planning development works according to their suggestions. These meetings provide people with an opportunity to present their problems and demands directly. He said maintaining direct contact with residents helps identify the actual needs of an area and facilitates the proper direction of development works.
He said continuous efforts were being made to prioritise development projects in villages across the Garhshankar constituency. Along with providing grants for various projects according to local needs, special attention was also being given to resolving the difficulties faced by residents. He said the benefits of development should reach every section of society and equipping villages with modern facilities was an important need of the time.
The Deputy Speaker said increasing the use of solar energy was very important in the present times. Projects such as solar systems can help promote alternative energy sources and reduce dependence on conventional electricity. He said the release of ₹12.35 lakh for a solar system in village Kunail was an important step towards improving the facilities required in the village.
