Una, October 9:- Under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Campaign, the District Welfare Officer’s Office, Una, organised an awareness rally at PM Shri Government Senior Secondary School, Basdehra. Through the rally, students raised public awareness about the harmful effects of drug abuse and conveyed the message of building a drug-free society.
The District Welfare Officer stated that the initiative aims to motivate young people to stay away from drugs, raise awareness about the physical, mental and social harm caused by substance abuse, and promote a drug-free lifestyle in society.
He said that through the rally, students conveyed to the public that drug abuse adversely affects a person’s health, education, family and future. Young people should channel their energy into education, sports, creative activities and positive pursuits so that they can move towards a healthy, safe and bright future.
On the occasion, Basdehra School Principal Amardeep Singh, Superintendent Anoop Singh from the District Welfare Officer’s Office, and other school staff members were also present.
