Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, September 29:- As part of the special events being organized across Punjab by the Punjab Government to commemorate the 650th birth anniversary of Sri Guru Ravidas Maharaj Ji, a spectacular show featuring 500 drones was held late this evening at Dussehra Ground, Sector 79, Mohali. Hundreds of illuminated drones lit up the night sky, presenting the life, hymns, ideology and profound philosophy of Sri Guru Ravidas Maharaj Ji in an engaging manner, filling the gathering with spiritual joy.
On the occasion, MLA from the SAS Nagar Assembly constituency Kulwant Singh Mohali, District Planning Committee Chairperson Engr. Prabhjot Kaur, ADC (G) Geetika Singh, SDM Mohali Dmandeep Kaur, DSP Harsimran Singh Ball, Senior Deputy Mayor Rajinder Prasad Sharma, Deputy Mayor Harpal Singh Channa and a large number of devotees were present. The congregation watched the unique drone show with great devotion and enthusiasm.
MLA S. Kulwant Singh said that the Punjab Government, led by Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann, is committed to the welfare and equality of every section of society by following the path shown by Sri Guru Ravidas Maharaj Ji. He said that the initiative used modern digital technology through a drone show to effectively convey the life, hymns and teachings of Guru Sahib to the younger generation.
He said that the hymns of Sri Guru Ravidas Maharaj Ji convey the message of equality, fraternity, hard work, righteous conduct and social harmony to all humanity. The philosophy of Guru Sahib is not confined to any particular section or community, but conveys a profound message of equality, freedom and fraternity for the entire human race. He raised his voice against the caste system, discrimination and social inequality, and showed humanity the path of good deeds and noble conduct.
The Mohali MLA said that the Punjab Government has allocated a budget of more than Rs. 100 crore for year-long events dedicated to the 650th birth anniversary of Sri Guru Ravidas Maharaj Ji. He said the objective of these events is to convey the great thoughts of Guru Sahib and the message of welfare of humanity to the new generation in a modern and effective manner.
During the event, the Kirtan group of Bhai Jaspal Singh Ji (Hazoori Ragi, Gurdwara Amb Sahib) enthralled the congregation with melodious devotional singing. A large number of devotees who attended the event appreciated this unique initiative of the Punjab Government.
Tehsildar Mohali Gurpreet Singh Dhillon, Naib Tehsildar Ravinder Singh, Sub-Registrar Harsh Garg and Harmanjot Cheema, along with a large number of devotees, were also present on the occasion.
