On this occasion, he gave necessary guidelines to the officials to provide speed and transparency to the disaster relief work in the entire Kutlahar assembly constituency including Bangana area.

On this occasion, he gave necessary guidelines to the officials to provide speed and transparency to the disaster relief work in the entire Kutlahar assembly constituency including Bangana area.
MLA Vivek Sharma directed the officials to prepare and submit a detailed report of the damage caused by the disaster in Kutlahar area by September 13 so that financial assistance and relief material can be made available to the affected families in time. He said that disaster management is not just a formality, but a subject related to sensitivity and responsibility, in which laxity will not be tolerated at any level.
The MLA informed that in 27 panchayats of Una block, which are part of Kutlahar assembly constituency, a loss of about Rs 4.15 crore is likely during the disaster. He said that apart from relief and rehabilitation works, Rs 2.41 crore has already been released from MLA fund to these panchayats for development schemes.

He said that the concerned officers and employees should understand their responsibility and accountability and listen to the voice of the public seriously and ensure timely resolution of their problems. He said that he himself is visiting each affected village of the area and meeting the affected families and taking stock of the relief work at the ground level. Its main objective is to ensure timely relief to each affected family.
*Rehabilitation is also top priority along with relief*
Shri Sharma said that ration, tarpaulin and essential relief material have been distributed to the affected families, but permanent rehabilitation is now being given priority. He said that for the families whose houses have been completely damaged, work will be done rapidly towards building new houses at safe places. On this occasion, Block Congress President and General Secretary of Kutlahar Vivek Mika, Vice President Roshan Lal, BDO Una Kishori Lal Verma, Tehsildar Una Vipin along with other officers and employees were present.
