Meanwhile, a large number of dry goods, animal fodder and other materials have been delivered to the villages by the relief workers and the villagers are saying that ration and other such items have become more than required, while other essential items including candles, medicines for water-borne diseases, fever and respiratory diseases etc., ointment to apply on feet soaked in water are in dire need.
Other essential items including mosquito nets, Odomas and other necessary medicines are being delivered to the flood-affected areas by the relief workers. The villagers want the partners coming from outside to stop the help for a while now and in the coming days, when the water recedes, they will help them with the goods that will be required at that time.
According to the people of the flood-affected areas, diesel for tractors to remove soil from the fields, repair of damaged motors, repair of damaged tractors, repair of livestock and broken houses and clearing the fields of ruined crops are the major challenges that the people will have to face after the complete receding of water.
