Srinagar- An unidentified terrorist was killed and a security force jawan was injured in an encounter in Jammu and Kashmir's Kulgam district. Officials said that security forces launched a search operation after receiving information about the presence of terrorists in the forest area of ??Gudar. During this, the search operation turned into an encounter after terrorists hiding at a place opened fire on the security forces.
The Srinagar-based Chinar Corps of the Army said in a post on X, "Based on an intelligence and accurate information, a joint search operation was launched by Jammu and Kashmir Police and the Indian Army. During this, one terrorist was killed while a JCO was injured." Chinar Corps said that the operation is still ongoing.
