Patiala:- Under the leadership of Royal Youth Club President Rahul Badungar and Ward No. 54 Incharge of Shiromani Akali Dal Karan Gill, the residents of the area protested against the illegal lottery and betting business going on in two private hospitals of Badungar and a paan shop near the ancient Shiv Mandir against the Punjab government and the administration for their negligence.
During which Rahul Badungar and Karan Gill jointly said that people are being openly looted by giving them 10 times more money for less money. All this has been going on here for the last 6 months. Akali Dal Punjab Vice President Sumer Seeda and the residents of the area had closed the said illegal business even before this shop.
But after keeping the shop closed for two or four days, this black business has been started again in the shop. Due to which there is a huge protest among the people of the area against the negligence of the administration. The question is that at whose expense are people's hard-earned money being robbed through such illegal businesses.
Drugs have already turned a majority of families towards ruin and now people are being led on the wrong path to make them financially hollow. He said that if concrete steps are not taken to immediately shut down these black businesses that are harming the society, then the people of the area will be forced to take to the streets and wage a fierce struggle.
