Mohali:- An important meeting of the 650 Lecturers Union, who were appointed in the education department in the year 2016 after passing two difficult papers through direct recruitment, was held under the leadership of President Rachpal Singh. In this meeting, it was told that there are many errors in the seniority list of the lecturer cadre released by the education department in August 2025.
Presenting facts in this regard, lecturer Karnail Singh said that it is a matter of great regret that the teachers who became lecturers in the year 2025, 2024 or 2021 were made senior to the lecturers recruited in the year 2016. This is a blatant violation of rules and highhandedness.
These 650 lecturers were the first lecturers of the education department who became lecturers with merit marks after passing the paper. But the department snatched their rights and did injustice to the lecturers appointed through direct recruitment.
The organization today submitted its memorandum to the education department and demanded amendment in the seniority list. Lavkesh Kumar, Dr. Bhupinder Singh and other officials were present on this occasion.
