Nawanshahr/Banga- Under the able leadership of Principal Dr. Tarsem Singh Bhinder Ji of Sikh National College, Banga, the NSS Department, NCC and the Political Science Department jointly celebrated "National Voters Day".
On this occasion, volunteer Baljit Kaur, instilling great faith in the democratic system of the country and maintaining its dignity, administered the oath to the rest of the volunteer colleagues. The Principal, while addressing the volunteers, shared his views on the use of vote and its importance. On this occasion, NSS Department Program Officers Prof. Vipan and Dr. Nirmaljit Kaur also shared their views on the topic of 'Role of Students in Elections' and also provided information regarding the Voter Helpline.
Dr. Navneet Kaur also made the students aware about 'Democracy and Election Process' through her words. Prof. Manmant Singh, College Superintendent Paramjit Singh, Prof. Kishore Kumar, Prof. Tajinder Singh, Prof. Okar Singh, Navjit Singh and NSS and NCC volunteers were present on this occasion.
