He said that 503923 metric tons of paddy has been purchased from Pangrain, 299607 metric tons from Markfed, 230662 metric tons from Pansap, 149115 metric tons from Punjab State Warehouse Corporation and 165 metric tons of paddy. He said that 2475.71 crore rupees have been paid to the farmers out of the purchased paddy till now. On this occasion, in a meeting with procurement agencies, agriculture department and officials of Punjab Pollution Control Board, Deputy Commissioner Sakshi Sahni said that although more than 90 percent of the paddy has arrived in the markets, it was ensured to purchase the paddy coming in the markets at the same time. go He said that machinery should also be made available to the farmers for wheat sowing and stubble management.
