DPC Chairperson Prabhjot Kaur Sanctions Rs 5 Lakh Grant for Renovation of SC Dharamshala in Village Patton

SAS Nagar, September 22: Chairperson of the District Planning Committee, Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, Er. Prabhjot Kaur, has extended a significant development initiative by approving a grant of Rs 5 lakh from her discretionary funds for the renovation of the SC Dharamshala at village Patton. The formal approval letter for the commencement of work was handed over to the local representatives.

SAS Nagar, September 22: Chairperson of the District Planning Committee, Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, Er. Prabhjot Kaur, has extended a significant development initiative by approving a grant of Rs 5 lakh from her discretionary funds for the renovation of the SC Dharamshala at village Patton. The formal approval letter for the commencement of work was handed over to the local representatives.
On this occasion, village Sarpanch Gurjant Singh, Jasbir Singh, Surinder Singh Mataur, Advocate Amarjit Singh along with other eminent residents of the village were present. They expressed gratitude to the Chairperson for addressing a long-pending need of the local community.
Er. Prabhjot Kaur emphasized that Dharamshalas serve as vital centers for religious, cultural, and social gatherings in rural areas. She said that the government is committed to ensuring that such community spaces are well-maintained and upgraded to meet the needs of the people.
Highlighting the Punjab Government’s vision, she further added that the objective is to provide urban-level facilities in villages so that no rural area remains deprived of essential infrastructure and amenities. She assured the villagers that other development works in the area would also receive timely attention and adequate support.
The renovation of the Dharamshala, she said, will not only enhance the physical infrastructure but also create a more convenient and dignified space for the residents to organize social and cultural activities.
