Chandigarh:- Leader of the Opposition Pratap Bajwa and MP from Gurdaspur constituency Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa have demanded the opening of the Kartarpur Corridor for the Sikh pilgrims to visit Sri Kartarpur Sahib and Nankana Sahib in Pakistan on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev Ji.
In this regard, they wrote a letter to the Center demanding that the Kartarpur Sahib Corridor be opened immediately and the pilgrimage to the Sikh Guru Dhams in Pakistan be restored.
MP Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa said that preventing the Sikh community from going to Nankana Sahib on the birth anniversary of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji is hurting the religious sentiments of the Sikh community. This is not just a pilgrimage but a spiritual opportunity and religious right for the Sikhs, which is very unfortunate to stop.
Meanwhile, Bajwa in the letter has condemned the central government for not allowing Sikh pilgrims from Punjab to visit Nankana Sahib. He said that the central government has played with the faith of the Sikhs by not allowing Sikh pilgrims to visit Nankana Sahib.
