Una, September 11- A meeting on Forest Rights Act 2006 was held in the auditorium of DRDA on Thursday under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Una Jatin Lal. In the meeting, all the sub-divisional officers, range officers and tehsildars were directed to take appropriate action on the applications under Forest Rights Act 2006 and to take action on the claims of the applicants as per rules.
The Deputy Commissioner directed that all the claims received in this regard should be discussed in detail in the general meeting on October 2. He directed all the sub-divisional officers to organize their meetings and workshops at the respective sub-divisional level.
During this, DFO Una Sushil Kumar gave detailed information about Forest Rights Act 2006 through PPT. Along with this, tribute was also paid to the martyrs by observing silence on the occasion of Forest Martyrdom Day in the program.
ADC Mahendra Pal Gurjar, DFO Una Sushil Rana, all SDMs and BDOs along with all range officers, block officers and forest guards were present in the meeting.
