Chandigarh, September 7 - The Haryana Women and Child Development Department has invited applications for the state level women's awards for women who have achieved special achievements in various fields, the last date for application is December 26. Interested women can submit their applications to the Women and Child Development Office by December 26. These awards will be given on International Women's Day on March 8.
A government spokesperson said that Rs 1.50 lakh and a citation will be given for the Indira Gandhi Mahila Shakti Award, Rs 1.5 lakh and a citation for the Kalpana Chawla Sharia Award, Rs 1.5 lakh and a citation for the Bhain Channo Devi Panchayati Raj Award. Rs 51 thousand and a citation for the Lifetime Achievement Award. He said that the best performing women will be honored with Rs 21,000 each and a citation in eight different categories.
