Mahilpur- Principal Harbhajan Singh Sporting Club Mahilpur held a condolence meeting on the untimely demise of Charanjit Singh Bains, an alumnus of Shri Guru Gobind Singh Khalsa College Mahilpur and a prominent international player of JCT. In which the members present observed two minutes of silence and remembered the departed soul and prayed for his spiritual peace.
On this occasion, Club President Kulwant Singh Sangha recalled the contribution of the Bains family to the society and sports world and said that Charanjit Singh Babbi's father S. Ram Jit Singh Bains Sikanderpur was the founder, managing secretary and announcer of this club.
His elder brother, retired SP Shivinderjit Singh Bains, is contributing immensely to the club as well as sports and social organizations of Punjab. Similarly, Charanjit Singh was guarding the rich traditions established by his ancestors in Canada. The entire sports world is in mourning over his untimely demise at the age of 62. Dr. Parampreet Candowal said that his last rites will be performed at Country Hills and Bhog Dashmesh Cultural Centre, Calgary, Canada on September 13, 2025 at 10 am.
This condolence meeting was attended by Prin.
