According to the administration, the situation in Sasrali village is critical and the flow of water can damage the embankment at any time.

Deputy Commissioner Himanshu Jain said that the situation in Sasrali village near the Sutlej river is critical due to the rapid flow of water. Although efforts are being made to protect and strengthen the embankment, if there is any breach or damage in the embankment, then Sasrali, Bunt, Rawat, Hawas, Seeza, Boothgarh and Mangli villages can be affected. There is also a risk of these villages being surrounded by flood water.
The advisory has asked the locals to remain alert and keep a close watch on the situation. The administration has instructed people to go to the first floor of the houses in case of emergency. If anyone lives in a low-lying area or a single-storey house, then he has been asked to go to safer places. People have been asked to keep their important documents and belongings in water-proof bags or carry them with them. Elderly, children and sick people have been asked to be shifted to safer places on a priority basis. The district administration has also set up rescue centres to help the people. These rescue centres have been set up at Rahon Road, Gaunsgarh, Satsang Ghar; Chandigarh Road, Mundian, Satsang Ghar; Tibba Road Satsang Ghar; Kailash Nagar Satsang Ghar; Radha Soami Kendra near village Sasrali; Khasi Kalan Bazaar; Khasi Kalan School; Bhukhari School; Mattewaza School; and Mattewara Bazaar.
