On this occasion, President of Printing and Stationery Association, Mohali Hari Bhushan said that the government is going to make hundreds of employees unemployed by selling the building. He said that after the restructuring of the department, the file regarding the approval of the rules has also been pending with the government for a long time, which has not been approved by the government so far, due to which the promotions and vacant posts in the department are not being filled directly.
The employees demanded that the Punjab government, considering its responsibility towards public welfare, should construct new buildings for Government Press, Patiala and Government Press, Mohali on some of the lands available to them and install new modern machinery in the government presses, so that the future of the employees and the office can be secured. The employees said that if this is not done, the employees will be forced to launch a big struggle for their rights. On this occasion, the Vice President of the Association Dharminder Kumar, General Secretary Ravneet Singh, Press Secretary Prithi Singh, President of Patiala Press Hardeep Singh, Vice President Jaspreet Singh, General Secretary Daljit Singh and Ramandeep Kaur, Pawan Kumar, Chetan Sharma, Jaswinder Singh, Pankaj, Rupinder, Hussan Lal and all the employees of the Printing and Stationery Department besides Sukhchain Singh Khaira, Mandeep Sandhu and employees of the Ministerial and Technical Workers Union, Printing and Stationery Department, Punjab were present.
