Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Speaker said that for the past several days, floods due to heavy rains have wreaked havoc in Punjab along with various other states. Due to which, large-scale loss of life and property is being caused due to water in many districts of Punjab.
He said that due to continuous heavy rains, the night shelters of the poor have also collapsed in many villages of Punjab. The Deputy Speaker said that there has been a lot of damage to people's houses. For which he will meet the higher officials of the district administration and make efforts to compensate the affected families for the damage.
He said that we should come forward to help in this hour of sorrow and appealed to all the people to join hands with the people of the flood-hit districts as well as to support those in other villages of Punjab whose houses have been damaged and their livelihoods have been affected. He said that he and the Aam Aadmi Party, as always, stand with the people of Punjab in this time of trouble.
On this occasion, Sarpanch Tutomjara Nachhattar Singh, Satnam Singh Sardullapur, Sunil Dandewal, Manjit Kaur Daduwal, Laxmi Devi Daduwal, Sarpanch Dandewal, Mahinder Kaur Tutomjara, Dev Raj Daduwal, Amrit Flora and volunteers of the Aam Aadmi Party were present.
