
Haryana Governor Prof. Asim Kumar Ghosh paid obeisance at Gurudwara Nada Sahib.
Chandigarh, August 31- Haryana Governor Prof. Asim Kumar Ghosh along with his wife Smt. Mitra Ghosh on Sunday paid obeisance at the famous Gurudwara Nada Sahib in Panchkula and later inspected the Mother Teresa Saket Orthopedic Hospital.

After visiting Gurudwara Nada Sahib, Governor Prof. Ghosh said that he has got immense honour and privilege by visiting this historic and holy Gurudwara Nada Sahib. He also appreciated the efforts of the Gurudwara management for the upliftment of the poor and announced financial assistance of Rs 1 lakh for the needy persons.
During this, the Governor assured all possible support to the committee and appreciated the courage and supreme sacrifice of the Sikh community. On this occasion, the Gurudwara Management Committee honoured Governor Prof. Asim Kumar Ghosh and his wife by presenting them Siropa.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Nisha Yadav, Deputy Commissioner of Police Srishti Gupta, Chairman of Haryana Gurudwara Management Committee Jagdish Singh Jhinda, religious leader Baljit Singh Daduwal, member of Gurudwara Management Committee Swarn Singh Banga Tibba, Chief Granthi of Gurudwara Jagjit Singh and other dignitaries were present on the occasion.
After this, the Governor visited Mother Teresa Saket Orthopedic Hospital and inspected the medical services there. He appreciated the high level medical services being adopted in orthopedic treatment, rehabilitation and trauma management.
The Governor obtained information about medical equipment, infrastructure and specialist services from the hospital administration and emphasized on strengthening outreach programs so that specialized orthopedic care can reach the deprived sections of the society. He praised the dedication of the doctors and medical staff and assured the hospital of all possible support from the Raj Bhavan.
During the hospital inspection, Director General of Health Manish Bansal, Hospital Director Rani Singh, Dr. DK Nagpal, Dr. Saurabh and other officers and doctors were present.
