
‘Mela Teej Da’ organized by Mohali Press Club turned out to be memorable.
Mohali, August 30 – ‘Teej Teej Da’ Mela was celebrated with great pomp and show by Mohali Press Club at the Community Center of Sector-70. In the mela, women, children and young women from Sector-70 performed Giddha, Bhangra, solo dance and choreography dance and kept the program colorful for 5 hours with full enthusiasm.

In the mela, women, children and young women from Sector-70 performed Giddha, Bhangra, solo dance and choreography dance and kept the program colorful for 5 hours with full enthusiasm.
On this occasion, Bibi Jaswant Kaur, wife of Constituency MLA Kulwant Singh and Chairman of District Planning Board Prabhjot Kaur attended the program as chief guests and they also entertained the audience by singing and performing Giddha in Giddha. Meanwhile, Bibi Jaswant Kaur said that the preparation of the women and children of Sector-70 reflects their passion for culture, which is evident from their presentation of the program.
On this occasion, Bibi Prabhjot Kaur said that every year the women's program of Sector-70 is better than the previous year and this time it is clear from the performance of 35 groups that everyone has prepared with great effort.
On this occasion, she also honored all the teams. During this, Mohali Press Club specially honored Bibi Jaswant Kaur wife of MLA Kulwant Singh, Bibi Prabhjot Kaur Chairman District Planning Board Mohali, Pragati Jagga MD Cooperative Bank Mohali, Kuldeep Kaur Tiwana Principal, Councilor Gurpreet Kaur, Councilor Aruna Sharma, Councilor Ramandeep Kaur, Bibi Charanjit Kaur etc. with honors and phulkaris.
On this occasion, Club President Sukhdev Singh Patwari and General Secretary Gurmeet Singh Shahi thanked the guests and artists who made the entire program a success with full preparation.
This program was held in two parts. Children performed for one and a half hours and women performed for two and a half hours. The Giddha teams included Rinki Group's Giddha, Lakshta Group's 'Jhanjaran Mangvayan Muktsar To', Jassi and Party's 'Baba Ve Kala Maroor', Sukhman Group's Bhangra, Mannat Group's choreography, Arsh Group's Giddha, then Seema Group's Giddha, Sobha Gauria's 'Buddha Aashiq' solo, Sukhwinder Bhullar Group's Giddha, Harpreet Group's group performance, Kamal Group's Bhangra, Kirti and Ruby Party's Jhoomar, Preneet Group's dance on the song 'Akh Mastani', Rimpi Group's Giddha, Seema and Manpreet Group's Giddha and Gunjan also performed songs and dances, while Simran performed a dance on 'Kala Doriya'.
Apart from this, the small girls performed ‘Bhangra Pauga Heavyweight Kudiy’, Seerat Group performed ‘Kudi Phatte Phekadi’, and Kofi performed ‘Haryanvi Geet’.
During this, Madam Gurpreet Bhullar and Varinderpal Kaur performed the responsibility of conducting the stage in a very effective manner.
