SAS Nagar, August 26 - BJP District Mohali President Mr. Sanjeev Vashishth has said that the BJP government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi is continuously working for the welfare of the victims of the Sikh massacre, to provide them justice and to provide them relief.
He said that everyone is aware of the fact that far from punishing the perpetrators of the Sikh massacre during the Congress rule, the Congress had acquitted them and after Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi took over the command of the country, these cases were re-investigated and the Congress leaders accused of the massacre were punished. He said that this is the first time in history that a person has been re-investigated and punished after being acquitted.
He said that now that the BJP government has been formed in Delhi, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has first given relief to the victims of the Sikh massacre and given government jobs to the members of their families. He said that similarly, Haryana Chief Minister Mr. Naib Singh Saini has also announced that the Haryana government will give a government job to one member of each of the 121 families of Sikh massacre victims living in Haryana and the decision of which member will get the job will also be taken by the family itself.
