This workshop series started in May 2025, in which special workshops were conducted for nodal officers from different blocks of the district on 22, 23, 24 July and 6 August along with the month of May. The workshops provided detailed information about the Ullas portal, use of mobile app and the role of nodal officers at the field-level.
Continuing this series, a special workshop was organized for Block Primary Education Officers (BPEOs) and Block Nodal Officers (BNOS) at DIET Hoshiarpur today. The workshop was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Shikha Sharma, Lecturer, DIET and District Coordinator (ULLAS Program).
She appealed to all the Block Nodals to facilitate the registration of school users and support DIET Hoshiarpur in completing its work.
Dr. Arjuna, Sushri Baljit Kaur, and Dr. Ritu Kumra participated in the workshop as resource persons. They registered the block users on the Ullas portal and provided detailed information about the use of the Ullas app and portal.
The workshops also discussed the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, Fundamental Literacy and Numeracy (FLN) and the vision of 100% Literate India. The participants were made aware of how they can bridge the literacy gap of the district through their role.
DIET Hoshiarpur has reiterated its commitment to providing educational equity and ensuring that no learner is left behind through these workshops. Now the district is moving forward with its literacy mission with renewed vigor and strategic direction.
